Dave Wannstedt's answer is not benching quarterback Jay Fiedler. Not benching receiver Derrius Thompson. Not promoting Brian Griese or J.R. Tolver.
''I'm totally confident in Jay and what we're doing,'' Wannstedt said Monday, one day after Fiedler completed 14 of 27 passes for a season-low 147 yards against Jacksonville. ``It's a collection of more than one individual, and collectively as a group, we have to get the thing solved. And we will.''
And solving Miami's inability to pass the football consistently doesn't mean changing the starting quarterback?
''It's not the answer,'' Wannstedt said.
