    Here's a stretch

I usually laugh at people's ideas on switching players around, but how is this?

How about putting Posey at DE? He's supposed to be a good passrusher, no? He can play (no, I'm NOT comparing him to them!!!) a Lawrence Taylor or Derrick Thomas (RIP) role.

    What do you think?

I don't think you can get any worse than what we have now.

How could it hurt? We gave up 30 points to the anemic Jets, for heavens sake. Polk or Stamer should be able to handle his LB spot.

But I think it would be a little like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic at this point.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Well if Gray and Williams get the boot, doesn't the 46 go right out the door with them?

I'd love to see the 2 of them canned as quickly as possible and have the Bills change to a more conventional D.

I thought Stamer did a good job the few plays he was in there when Posey was hurt. He made a tackle at the line of scrimmage on a running play and was in on a few others. I think it couldn't hurt cause Denney absolutely SUCKS.

                    True. I don't know. That's why I said it's a stretch.

Hey, I'm trying to find an answer for our DE situation.

Posey might be a pretty good pass rusher if the D switched to a 3-4 front. I think it's too late, and we don't have enough LB's on the roster to affect the change at this point, though.
Someone said "What's he gonna turn out like?" Ha!
And someone else said "Never mind!"

LE Ryan Denney has shown tremendous growth in his second year. He's a good athlete with improved quickness, range and the ability to chase down the play. He uses his hands well to get off blocks and he is doing a better job of staying low when engaged, which is not easy given his 6-7 frame. Denney may never be a great pass rusher but should be effective once he develops countermoves.
