An East Bay family that owns nearly a third of the Oakland Raiders wants team boss Al Davis thrown out for mismanagement, according to a lawsuit.
The suit, filed in Alameda County Superior Court by the family of the late E.J. McGah, charges that Davis and A.D. Football Inc., the Davis- controlled corporation that runs the football team, have breached their duties to the other partners in the NFL franchise "by fostering their own self- interests."
The 23-page lawsuit accuses Davis, the team's largest shareholder, of "grossly negligent" practices in his management of the franchise, including personal use of a private jet and cars and the purchase of expensive suites and season tickets to Lakers and Warriors NBA games. ...
