The 2 candidates that Williams surprisingly beat out were John Fox and Marvin Lewis.

Fox is coaching a Carolina team that is the surprise of the NFL. They play stout, physical defense and pound teams with the running game. Wasn't that the formula Buffalo was supposed to adopt this season?

The jury is still out on Lewis, but many are giving him credit for taking charge in Cincy, making them competitive, and providing some hope to a hopeless situation.

I also fail to see the difference between Marvin Lewis' first year and GW's first year here.

Me too. The city of Buffalo wasn't up to his "standards", so he went to Cincy.

He considered Buffalo schools too poor for his children. Amherst, Hamburg, Frontier? Some of the best schools in the state! Please!
