But CBS Sportsline has offered high-res versions of NFL photos weekly for the last two seasons now...I go there every week to get my batch of Chiefs pics at 1024x768, but there is a little trick you have to do.

Take this pic of London Fletcher for instance:

Simply input 1024x768 in place of "lower" in the filename and you get the hi-res version!

I did...just put 1024x768 in place of "lower" in the filename on CBS's server.....

Yeah, I about dumped in my pants last season when I discovered it. It was right after the Chiefs/Chargers game....unfortunately when I got to it none of the pics were working, they were all dead links...so I missed some really great shots. I've saved a ton this year.

Its funny, 'cause I had a feeling they were storing larger pics because of the file names - I tried using 'higher', etc.. lol.. I never thought to try the size!

Just remember they take down the previous weeks ones after the games on Sundays, so make sure to save the ones you want.

Usually all the new pics from the Sunday games are up in full by an hour or two after the games.

What are the logistics behind a photographer taking the photos at the game, fighting traffic to get out, get home/office and upload photos. Are they digital? Do they have a dark room at the stadium?

It's amazing that they can get photos from the games on the internet so fast!

It is called technology, geez this is the 21st century man,get with the times. You can do almost anything from anywhere.

It's definitely digital. I imagine they take the pics, upload them to a laptop, beam them to an office via wireless internet connection, and upload them to CBS server.
