True to tha, I own NHL 2002 and Lemieux is on the cover, did he have a bad year that year? -
i guess we have a bad year cuz the trailers for the game continuosly shwoing Zhitnik Pounding someone.

HEY!! It's not just NHL... It's EA SPORTS! On EA's Madden 2004, Vick is on the cover, and in pre-season he suffered a season ending injury. For NHL, guess who was supposed to be on the cover originally.... Joe Thorton, but that didn't happen because he was in a bar-room brawl and was charged, EA said they didn't want to be associated with crime, so the put Danny Heatly on the cover! Hmmmm.... It's most prevalent in football, where Eddie George, Daunte Culpepper, Marshall Faulk, and then Mike Vick all had either bad seasons or bad injuries the same season they were on the cover of EA's game.
The real "curse" is buying the game---I am a Sega Sports gamer.
