Marshall Faulk will practice this week. But will he play? Stay tuned.

The Rams' running back situation is a case of backfield in motion. In other words, things are in a state of flux.

There's a possibility, however remote, that the Rams could have Faulk in the lineup Sunday in Pittsburgh. At the other end of the spectrum is the prospect that St. Louis could go into Heinz Field with just undrafted rookies running backs Arlen Harris and Joffrey Reynolds available.

"That's a possibility," coach Mike Martz said.

That's because Lamar Gordon is questionable for Pittsburgh with what the team is now calling a high ankle sprain.

]"The high ankle sprains are very painful," Martz said. "And usually, for receivers and backs, it ends up being a six- or an eight-week deal if it's significant. His is not significant.
