Tim Hasselbeck? I want to say that he was on the Bills practice squad, or he was in one of the Bills training camps at one time.
IMO, Rob Johnson is in the NFL for only one thing, the money. Since Buffalo, he has had several opportunities to be a starter for teams around the league. He always, always chooses the role of a backup with a hefty pricetag. He knows his inabilites and is scamming the NFL for money. There are tons of QBs out there with half the talent and twice the heart begging to be in his shoes. Rob Johnson is nothing but a big, money stealing, piece of **** and should be sued for the fallacies he brought to the teams and the fans that believed in him. **** him.

Yeah...training camp....and about all he brought to the table was that he was engaged to a girl from the second Survivor season.

Johnson appeared in each of the Redskins' past two games and completed five of seven passes in mop-up duty but was sacked three times
I'm telling ya, OLinemen do that on purpose when he's back there :snicker:

You know I always kind of liked Rob Johnson....what's so wrong with him? Good arm, can scramble...just needs the right coach to tell him to get rid of the ball.

He was told to do that ever since he left college....by various coaches. It's unlikely he'll ever learn

I think RJ needs to go into NFLE or the arena league or something ... somewhere where he'll be forced to pass quickly due to inadequate protection.
I have a feeling that he'll finally put it together 3 or 4 seasons down the road and run off 1 or 2 great seasons and then retire.

A quote from the article about RJ:
"He never seemed fully comfortable with Coach Steve Spurrier's offensive system, however."
What offensive system HAS he ever seemed comfortable with?

The fetal attack!!!! This is where the qb just lays down in a fetal position in hopes that the defenders will feel sorry for him.

What? After all the money we already paid him, he should play for us for free. Besides he won't beat out Van Pelt anyway and after all the booing, no way he will want to come over.

if you knew anything about football
youd know washington has a terrible line
and an idiotic coach
tim hasselback?
this guy was on the bills squad and let go
a stupid move by the redksins
they have a better chace of winning a game with rob instead
of hassleback
im not worried
rob will end up somewhere better
Jackal,
What in god's name do you see in Rob Johnson? Obvisouly we all know he is a horrible football player and will never amount to a sack of donkey***** in the NFL or even the CFL or Arena League for that matter... did you two used to date in college or something?
Just curious.
It is beyond me how anyone can support this worthless P.O.S.
That is all.

Yep all done. Just my opinion Jackal. It is hard for me to see anyone being upset about losing an RJ. Maybe I am just biased 'cause he stunk it up on my team for a little while.
:D
Edited: And because he talked ***** all offseason and the last week about Buffalo. RJ can calmly go fist himself!

Ok, I can live with all your RJ defending - maybe you genuinely like the guy for whatever reason... That's fine... But that last comment is the most ridiculous thing I've read in a LONG time on these boards - and that's quite an accomplishment...
Sorry, no, I'm not losing any sleep over RJ 'losing his job'... The guy has made millions and millions of dollars over his NFL career, so he ain't exactly gonna be out on the street or collecting welfare any time soon.. Don't compare him to any one of the many people on these boards that actually WORK for a living - most of us won't earn in our lifetime what he made in 2 or 3 seasons w/ the Bills..

cry me a river
25 million wont always buy you happiness always
if he was happy with 25 would his agent be looking
to find a team for him?
he loves to play and still played regardless
money is not the issue here
he got cut because management made a stupid move
he wont be able to do what he loves to do which is play
or for most of you entertain you on the field as he gets sacked or hurt
you would have a point if he gave no effort
he looked like a guy who gave effort on the field
but he came up short

One other thing (I'm having a Wys moment.. ;) )
I supported RJ when he was here, and didn't really get sour on him until the end. After he left, I never had any ill will for the guy. But that comment last week about the people in Buffalo being 'jealous' of his Super Bowl ring.... Suffices to say that I was QUITE pleased to watch him get driven into the turf last Sunday. How a guy can have the BALLS to say something like that is beyond me - it really shows his true colors though as a NON-competitor. To bragg about a Super Bowl win that he had as much to do with accomplishing AS I DID was the definition of GUTLESS.

Yeah, thats why he chose the Bucs where he knew he'd be riding the bench, instead of Houston where he was told he'd have a chance to earn the starting role during Carr's first season...

He couldn't beat out a 38 year old midget, what makes people think he could of beat out a rookie on a expansion team?

where do you get your info from?
the reason he didnt choose houston was because he knew theyjust wanted a veteran to play one year then
backup david carr
he chose tampa because he was intrigued by grudens offense
it paid off he got the ultimate prize
here it comes
"but he didn't earn it?"
yeah ive heard that one a billion times
he earned it

Who brought the Bills from behind to a somewhat sure playoff victory(if not for HR throwback), hitting a receiver , while scrambling without a shoe, even though he's not known as a scrambler? What former Bills QB is known as a scrambler, yet got sacked trying to lead Buffalo to a Miami playoff victory? They're both gone from here, but Johnson at least had the "V' in his teams' hands. Flutie was a lil leaping lady, floating the ball up for grabs. Thanks that they're both gone.

Johnson wasn't known for a scrambler? WTF was he doing all the time running around like a chicken with his head cut off then?
And please don't bring up the Tenn. loss. Johnson had just as much to do with that loss as the special teams did.
BTW, who lead the Bills to the playoff's that year?
