View Full Version : Girl Injured Attempting To Fly Like 'Harry Potter'

A 4-year-old girl was critically injured after she apparently tried to fly after watching "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" movie, according to a Local 6 News report.
Authorities in Shelby, N.C., said that the girl watched the movie and then crawled onto a kitchen counter, straddled a broom and then jumped off.
The injured girl was at a neighbor's house when she tried to fly away on the broom.
Harry Potter doesn't kill people. People kill people.

The next thing we're going to hear about is the parents of the girl suing Harry Potter, Hollywood, the broom company, etc. You watch, someone's getting sued over this.

Frickin' Hufflepuff kids! Someone should send her parents a nasty owl! :)

 if the parents try and sue everyone to include whoever cut the tree down for the broom (if it was wooden broomstick - hey! maybe that's what the problem was... she was using a "new" broom), the judge should tell her she has to sue the neighbors first for not keeping an eye on the kids. Doubt they would want to do that. Not as much money in it.

How come when we were young we never tried the dumb stuff that was in Tom & Jerry or Bugs Bunny cartoons? I never once ordered an anvil from the Acme Amusement Co.
Yeah, but weren't those x-ray specs that you ordered from the back of comic books cool?! I still wear mine to bars once & a while.
BTW, take note of the town name in LOG's original post on this thread

She probably had the broom upside down. That's why she went down.
