Raiders All-Pro center Barret Robbins has been contacted by authorities investigating a Burlingame nutritional supplement lab, an NFL source said Thursday, the same day a San Francisco federal grand jury convened in the probe of Victor Conte and his Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative.
The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, would not confirm that the lineman had been subpoenaed to testify as a witness, only that he had been contacted. A source familiar with the results of a raid by investigators on BALCO last month said Robbins' name and that of a number of other Raiders were on documents that listed several prominent athletes who had received blood or urine testing through the company. ...
