How's this for some pre-Halloween freakiness? The Titans will be without two key players for at least a month because of two plays that didn't count.
Wide receiver Drew Bennett strained his right calf and cornerback Andre Woolfolk suffered a high ankle sprain during Tennessee's 30-17 victory at Jacksonville on Sunday. Woolfolk's injury may be serious enough to sideline him the rest of the season, Coach Jeff Fisher said yesterday.
Woolfolk is expected to get a second opinion tomorrow.
''We are going to keep our fingers crossed and hope that it is not as severe as we expect it to be,'' Fisher said. ''He has some extensive damage to the ankle and it may require surgery.''
The two players were hurt within 29 seconds of each other — Bennett on a play stopped by a delay of game penalty, Woolfolk on a play negated by defensive offside.
