The Bears need to decide whether to keep Dick Jauron as coach, and they need to do it now. Like, today. But who decides? General manager Jerry Angelo? He might be fired, too. President Ted Phillips? Any of the assorted McCaskeys? Pulling the trigger isn't easy when no one knows whose gun is supposed to be used, where it is or even how to keep the thing from backfiring. But Jauron clearly is making decisions based not on what's best for the future of the Bears, but instead on how to make sure he's part of it. Angelo might be doing the same thing.
So Team Dysfunction brings the Bears exactly to where they are:
Going nowhere with a 38-year-old quarterback on the field while The Future sits on the bench. There is not one valid reason to start Chris Chandler instead of rookie Rex Grossman.
