Rob an option as backup QB

In his 13th season, quarterback Brad Johnson knows when he needs a little rest.

    He needed some Wednesday.

Johnson, who has a sore throwing elbow, took limited reps in practice. The soreness does not appear to concern the Bucs, but given that backup Shaun King has a sprained ankle, the team might add some insurance.

Former backup Rob Johnson, recently released by the Redskins, attended practice.

I didn't realize that Rob left the Bucs. I thought they got rid of him.

Frankly, if I was Jon Gruden I wouldn't take that worthless piece of crap back. But, I guess we'll see what happens.

There's not a stone in my heart I've left unturned
Not a piece of my soul that I ain't searched
The only answer I found for all this hurt
Is there ain't not answer here on earth

Another round with Gruden, eh? Well, he couldn't cut it with him the first time, nor could he deal with Steve Superior in Washington. Maybe third time's the charm? Or, is this the 28th time for him?

He left the Bucs, went to the Skins. And the Skins dumped his sorry ass.
