Talk about a strange phenomenon.
Talk about a most unlikely development.
Talk about a bolt from the blue.
It was all that and maybe a little bit more Sunday as the Lions blindsided the defending AFC champion Oakland Raiders in convincing fashion, 23-13, at Ford Field.
Granted, the Raiders aren't the same team that rode an NFL-best offense to Super Bowl XXXVII last January. They're a struggling team, suddenly looking a little old and tired.
But the Lions won't be mistaken for the second coming of the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, either.
