Herm Edwards won't get fired. He's not even close to getting fired.

Would you - if you were TD pull off a trade like the TB/Oak trade in which TB acquired Jon Gruden - but for Mike Shanahan?

I would, without second thought or hesitation.

I think Shanahan would be the perfect fit here.

How about Jim Johnson (not Jimmie), Lovie Smith, Gary Kubiak, Ray Rhodes, Barry Alvarez, Nick Saban, Kirk Ferentz, Mike McCarthy, Monte Kiffin and I hate to say it Charlie Weis.

Ray Rhodes is a defensive coordinator ONLY.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I think we'd better start hoping it's not Gilbride. I have this dark hunch that TD likes Gilbride still as a coach.
Replace Donahoe with Modrak and fire the entire coaching staff!

              Then let's go to Disneyworld!

"Gamble" - that's what got him busted in the first place- he entered a $20,000 per entry NCAA college basketball pool.

Charlie Weiss might be worth a look, Nick Sabin is the best college option- he was a distinguished coordinator in he NFL

Shanahan isn't going anywhere either. Even If Buffalo wanted to give the farm for him- he has no desire to leave Denver or come here.

At this point, I like Nick Saban because he has both NFL coodinator experience and college head coaching experience. He's not a retread though.

I'm not necessarily opposed to a retread like Coughlin or Dennis Green. They both have some warts that concern me a bit. Coughlin was supposedly so harsh and abrasive that many of his players hated him. They played for him for a while, but when your players hate you I think you've got a ticking time bomb on your hands. I would want some assurance that he has mellowed out just a bit, not that he shouldn't be tough, but that he should have a better feel for limits. I don't know that Green can work with a strong GM like Donahoe.

Nick Saban seems to be a good head coach, judging what he's done with the LSU program. The NFL would not overwhelm him. He's my man.

You're right about Marvin Lewis, Dozerdog. Maybe he wasn't Buffalo's choice, but clearly Buffalo wasn't Marvin Lewis' choice.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

We could hire a piece of poop on a stick and it wouldn't hurt us any more than GW already has.
Leads? Yeah, sure. I'll...uh...just check with the boys down at the crimelab. Yeah, they got four more detectives on the case....we're working in shifts!"

What about Mike Zimmer, The D. Coordinator with the Cowboys. His D kicks ass and he has been working under Parcells. Look at what Parcells other DC has done
