It was a chilling scene. For nearly one minute, Wayne Chrebet was motionless on the field, face down, after being kicked in the back of the helmet by Giants safety Omar Stoutmire. He was out cold for a few seconds, a Jets doctor confirmed, and diagnosed immediately with a concussion.
The Jets wide receiver returned to last Sunday's game after being thoroughly evaluated by the medical staff — in retrospect, Chrebet called it a "stupid" move on his part — and now there's a question about when he will play again.
