Bills ought to name RB as #2 QB

Alex is coming in only when one of two things happen:
    1. Drew Bledsoe is injured
    2. Mop up time.

Assigning Sammy Morris or even Sam Gash as #2 QB would allow them to occasionally go in as handoffs becoming a blocker and/or runner plus have hear play in helmet. It would also enforce the "The Bills are going to run down your throat attitude". The Line would be free to run block without worrying about Drew's safety.

Crazy? Yes but crazy like a Fox and something the Tuna would not expect.

    You've been taking drugs again.

How would assigning Morris or Gash as a QB fool anyone? Forget the drug comment, it wasn't real.

Yes it was real - real stupid and assine.
          :madshake:

Bills need to committ to running plays, right? The best way to do that is to ensure that the offense is tooled so that offense can successfully run on short yardage plays and in those cases you always have a problem - too many defenders to handle and while Drew will occasionally throw a block it is not what he is best at and we do not want him to do it very often.

By having a "QB" in there who can block and run you are taking away the extra man advantage the defense has. The defense knows it a run yes and on MOST occasions they will be right but not always. (Morris for example used to be a college QB) and for an defense to completely ignore the WR's they are taking a chance of having a BIG play made on them.

If you wanted to get your disaster QB some snaps, the Bills should either be up 30 or down 30 with 2 minutes left.

Even so, all he would be doing is handing he ball off. Unless it's a long developing play like a reverse, he's not going to block anyone or anything.

By the time he handed off and started his momentum toward the line, 9 guys would be in the backfield.

The only other option IS thew option - as in 1970's Barry Switzer Oklahoma . And unfortunatly, NFL defenses are way to quick to run it. Unless there ia another player strike & replacement players, the option will never see a professional game again (unless they brought back the XFL)
