My Plan For A Winning Offense

Go Back in a Split back formation with Travis and either Willis or Sammy.

You have extra protection for Drew on either side of the line and if the blitz comes you can throw a screen to either side.

Plus you can run a toss sweep to either side and the D would not know where it was going.

    Feedback?????????

Or simply fire KG and use Gash as he should be used.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Yea maybee Gash should actually play fullback instead of slot. KG is not going to fix this, so I don't know what we should do.

Getting drew some protection is a must though...... you can not make plays behind that line.

Nah...that's too simple. It would never work. If it did, why isn't it done?
Here's a thought...Gilbride and Williams are too  stupid to do what would work.

            Like the idea savior.

Here's more addition by subtraction: Drew doesn't have to come out of the gate throwing bombs. Let the damn run set up those deep routes first with ball-control. Involve the TE's up the middle and quick outs in the flats, not low-percentage catches with Moulds doubled up downfield all the time. Especially since Moulds ain't been getting free and the line won't give Drew the time to send it deep.

Start him in shotgun formation to gain an extra sec and he's got to shorten his passing game to keep the drives moving. Unless the line can suddenly givew him 6-7 seconds back there, today/s DE's are too fast for a 7-step drop passer.

And the damn 1-step and fire out wide passes – maybe the receivers should consider taking a step or two over the line so we don't lose yardage.

Throwing short may not be glamerous, but it works and will move the chains if they put responsibility back on the recievers to get yards after the catch. Look when they ran the few screens on Sunday. Those plays were far more successful than his deep route attempts.
