Loose Coverage, I'm Confused

Watson said the defense was designed to give them the underneath stuff, with him as the primary cover guy for it. If you watch how far back the DB's play the WR's, you have to scratch your head. Donahoe said in a interview that the DB's need to tighten up their coverage, referring to the loose underneath stuff.
Jerry Gray is doing exactly what? Can't he see this, he designed this?
Does someone have to step in and tell him to tighten it up?

I think Watsons full of crap! Give them the underneath stuff means giving them the 3 or 4 yard pass and then hitting them.

He looks like he is LETTING guys grab 11 yard passes on 3rd and 10 and then hitting them. I am sure he is not being told to do that.
