    Chicks on Bruce Smith....

Bruce Smith: Heading into this week's matchup with the Seahawks, the Redskins were reeling after losing four straight games. So was Bruce's focus on what could be done to help the 'Skins end their losing streak? Hell, no! The 40-year old defensive end had his boxers in a twist because he lost his starting job to Regan Upshaw and Bruce appears to be nervous he will have less of an opportunity to set the all-time sack record. Smith feels he is at a time in his career when he must "take a stand and be a little selfish". After all, he explained that he had set individual goals he wanted to achieve.
We understand that everyone has their own personal agenda and we do not blame Bruce for wanting to see his name in the record books. But the seasoned vet should have learned after 19 years in the NFL how to put the company spin on his whining (Lesson 1: Refrain from using the word "selfish"!). With his head on the cutting block, Spurrier's last concern is with his players' individual achievements. The ol' Ball Coach needs some "W's"! So Bruce, if you want results at least try to sound like a teamer by saying you think you can help the team win by being on the field.

There's not a stone in my heart I've left unturned
Not a piece of my soul that I ain't searched
The only answer I found for all this hurt
Is there ain't not answer here on earth

It's all about perception. This statement would make him sound good. The other one made him sound like a jackass
