    McMahon busted on DUI charge

NAVARRE, Fla. -- Former NFL quarterback Jim McMahon was arrested early Sunday on a DUI charge, according to Santa Rosa County sheriff's officials.

McMahon, the flamboyant leader of the Chicago Bears team that won the 1986 Super Bowl, was stopped at about 1 a.m., Chicago time, after two people called and reported that a pickup was recklessly going through traffic and nearly causing accidents, said sheriff's spokesman Jerry Henderson.

McMahon failed a field sobriety test and had a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit in Florida, Henderson said. One Breathalyzer exam put McMahon's blood-alcohol level at 0.261; another put it at 0.258. The legal limit in Florida is 0.08.

I had a crush on him for about a minute back in his "Super Bowl Shuffle" days. He's a real ass!

There's not a stone in my heart I've left unturned
Not a piece of my soul that I ain't searched
The only answer I found for all this hurt
Is there ain't not answer here on earth

McMahon's act has turned into a sad joke

            COMMENTARY By RICK MORRISSEY
CHICAGO - Let me start by saying I don't know Jim McMahon, although I have seen more of him than most men would care to. As a player, McMahon had a quaint habit of mumbling answers into his locker while saluting reporters with his naked behind. He didn't seem to appreciate that we knew exactly what we were interviewing.
That same naked behind was aimed at a helicopter during Super Bowl week in New Orleans in 1986. Since then, McMahon has dedicated his life to living up to that one moment of truly inspired image-making.
