Seahawks defensive tackle Norman Hand has decided to have surgery on his torn right biceps, effectively ending the veteran's season.
Coach Mike Holmgren announced Hand's decision at his Monday afternoon news conference. Holmgren said a date for the surgery has not been determined.
"My understanding is he's going to have it fixed, which means he's out for the year," Holmgren said.
