    Boller likely out for season

Much like the Ravens' season right now, their quarterback situation is up in the air.

Rookie starter Kyle Boller probably will miss the rest of the season after injuring his left leg in Sunday night's 33-22 loss to the St. Louis Rams.

The Ravens have yet to formally announce Boller's replacement and have been discussing whether to name Chris Redman or Anthony Wright the starter against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Boller, the 19th overall pick in the draft, tore his quadriceps - a muscle just above the knee - late in the second quarter and missed the entire second half.

Boller has surgery; Ravens sign Lucas

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore Ravens rookie quarterback Kyle Boller underwent surgery on his left leg Tuesday, but remains hopeful that he can return this season.

Boller, injured in Sunday night's 33-22 loss to the St. Louis Rams, had surgery to repair a torn muscle in his quadriceps.

Ravens trainer Bill Tessendorf said Boller "could be ready to play in four to six weeks," and general manager Ozzie Newsome said the team does not plan to place Boller on injured reserve.
