One of the best games I have ever watched the Bills play.

51-3

Indeed! The crowd was complacent and euphoric, but when the Raiders threatened in the 4th, everyone went bananas and pushed the D to shut them down!

Awesome!

Now we shut ourselves down on O.

Everyone use to do that to the Raiders....The Bills were the team to fear.

Nobody wanted to come into Buffalo for a game.

So many good times at the Ralph back then.

Bill Polian said it when he left. I remember the press conference.

He said (not a quote but close)

Cherish this group of players, they are special. It will be along time before you see anything quite like them again.

He was right.

Actually- that cover was from a game the following season- the Raider game where Norwood missed a bunch of easy kicks and extra points.

Al Edwards returned a kickoff for a TD and Kelly led an incredible 4th quarter rally.

What a game that was- Norwood finally won it in OT- I remember Don Criqui called the game and was really riding Norwood.

And Thurman Thomas threatened to drop Norwood off the plane somewhere over the midwest if he missed that OT field goal!
