Tight end Ernie Conwell will miss the remainder of the season after fracturing his right ankle against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday in the Saints' 23-20 victory in overtime on Sunday at the Superdome.
Conwell was injured when Falcons nose tackle Ed Jasper tackled Saints running back Deuce McAllister and rolled into the back of Conwell's right leg on the last play of the first quarter.
Conwell, who is expected to undergo surgery today and be placed on injured reserve, ends the season with 26 catches for 290 yards and two touchdowns
