A few weeks ago Jim Fassel brought a shovel into the Giants' locker room to try to get his "Keep shoveling" message through to his players. After their horrible loss to Atlanta, he got angry and asked them if they were trying to get him fired. The next day, he told them if they didn't play better he'd quit.
So what's next from the man who brought the Giants "The Guarantee" in 2000 and shook up his team by taking over the play-calling at just the right moment last season?
"He's a smart man," Giants defensive end Michael Strahan said. "He always has something."
Even Fassel's not so sure anymore.
