So, now the question is....who do you want? Is there anyone on this list that we should sign?

Matt Stinchcomb , OAK

this guy can play anywhere on the line, but he'd fit nicely at G for us.

C Damien Woody

He's a proven starter at C and atleast he can handle all snaps

Those were the two that I was thinking...but I was also thinking about bringing an Orlando Pace to Buffalo. He would cost a lot, but he would help protect Drew's blindside.

Adam Timmerman is also a pretty good Guard and I wouldn't mind him here either. :D

I'd rather see us sign Cory Withrow, who can start at center and is versatile enough to fill in at either guard spot if necessary. Plus, he's only in his 4th year and would be much less expensive than Woody (leaving even more $$ to sign a pass rusher such as Eric Hicks or Bert Berry of Denver).

I've checked out about 11 of the centers from that list, and here's the ones I like the most:

Cory Withrow (Min)
Mike Flynn (Bal)
Brock Guiterrez (SF)
Gennaro DiNapoli (Dal)
Jason Starkey (Ari)

All of these guys are either starters or have started before. They all could be available for much less than Woody.

Also, Brad Meester is no longer available, as he signed a 5 year extension with the Jaguars. Too bad; he would've been a nice upgrade too.

Walter Jones

Jones is awesome. Other than Jonathan Ogden, he is the best OT in the league in my opinion. However, I'd rather see the Bills upgrde the interior of the OL than get a stud tackle and still struggle inside (remember, Jonas was tried at center and did not perform very well there).

Exactly you sign Walter and move Jennings to RG and there you have it, then we just need a center!:)

Remind me again why it took so long for Jones to sign a contract? Now, since we know he wants to be paid a tremendous amount, how would the Bills be able to sign Jones, sign a good interior OL whether it's a center or guard, and sign the most pressing need on the DL, a pass rushing DE? I do love Jones' talents, but we do not need to overpay for a stud player. We need to get as much quality talent in here as we can for both lines.

Hey I agree I'm just saying if we were to do that then that's how the o-line would look. I have no idea and none of us really do about what's going to happen with our cap money we have ideas and so does TD and Co.. It's fun to speculate but only one person really knows.:)

I've got a woody for Woody.

Villareal is a decent guard.

How about Ross Tucker? Oh wait, he's a Bill now. Then why haven't the Bills ever played him to see what he can do?

Damien Woody is great with the Pats. He can play either the G or C position well...if we got him in Buffalo...that would def be aq fantastic upgrade!

BuffaloRanger

Hasn't Woody been replaced by Coppen in NE?

Doesn't he have problems snapping also?

Where's a Pats fan when you need one. (1st time for everything I guess)

Beside why would the Bills improve their O-line. They gave up 55 sacks last year and the Genius/Top Executive in the NFL didn't see any need to upgrade. Why do we think we know more then him?

"Don't mess with the O-line. They are starting to jell. They are all signed for next year and since they've played together they'll have awesome cohesion. This O-line is one of the Top 10 in football."

Oh wait, that was a flashback from last summer. Nevermind.

Maybe we should draft a true Center in the 2nd round and pick up a guard or tackle in free agency. Move Jonas Jennings to RG, Start Marcus Price at LT and keep Williams at RT, find a new LG to replace Ruben Brown. :D

That would be a damn good line! I think Ruben should go to RG and used for run blocking more, he should be lined up with Jonas Jennings who is a stud RT, and then you hade Mike Williams at LT, with Adam Timmerman at LG, Damien Woody could hold the middle.

Damn, that would be a sweet line!

What happens to Winfield if you bring in players like Woody (he'll want big $) and Jones (you better believe he'll want $$$)? What about the pass rush? Do we go to the draft for this? I think Will Smith is a tremendous athlete, but he is a bit on the small side while we need a guy who can not only rush, but can also help stuff the run. What about TE? Again, you can get some of these things in the draft, but you need to have a balance between the draft and free agency. I think both tatonka and R. Rich have done a good job of balancing the two out and still finding talent.

LJ Shelton signed an extension with the Cardinals during the season. Woody is now a OG in New England if didn't see today's game, so let's drop all this talk of making him a Center for us. I'd love Walter Jones or Orlando Pace but doubt we have the cap space. So, we might have to look at an OG or two the names that I have on my short list are Cosey Coleman, Jeno James and Bobbie Williams.

I wouldnt mind Pace either but I dont know what his price tag is I dont imagine to cheap. But man them two? Bledsoe would have a wall.

Grab Woody in the FA, cuz he's solid in both C and OG, which is argubaly the 2 worst posistions on the team. Then trade down and nab that center Jake something. Howz that for a O-line?

It's time to bump this one again, now that Ruben Brown is going to get cut, most likely.

Who do you want to replace him? As of right now, we have zero Starting Guards. Luckily there are a bunch available.

Just make sure Teague is NOT playing center next year and I'll be happy. That had to be one of the lamest ideas of the GW era - sign a solid LT and then force him to play C, even after Teague himself said would not be very good at it.
