    Season over for four Raiders

The Raiders, finally able to celebrate a victory on the field, now must deal with losses off it. Again.

Wednesday brought more bad injury news to a team that has had its fill this season. Four players, including starting defensive end Trace Armstrong, were placed on injured reserve, ending their season. Armstrong -- sidelined by a shoulder injury he had compared to the one that ended quarterback Rich Gannon's season -- has been knocked out by injury three consecutive years. His future is cloudy at best; he would be 39 and coming off a series of injuries next season.

``I haven't had a chance to go in depth about that or even look into the future,'' Coach Bill Callahan said. ``I'm just trying to get through the week.''

Armstrong was not available for comment Wednesday.

Others put on the list were starting outside linebacker Travian Smith (torn left-knee ligament), rookie running back Justin Fargas (torn left-knee ligament) and rookie defensive end Sam Williams (right knee).
