Whats the worst hockey injury you remember?

Not sure that anything else can top that...

      You dont know?

He was caught with a skate in the throat...

He survived surprisingly. Main reason why most goalies wear a shield covering their necks.

and you call yourself a Sabres fan... j/k

worst one I ever saw was when I lived in Boston, I went to the BU game and saw Travis Roy 11 seconds into his first college shift slam into the boards and become paralized.

I was at the game with my then girlfriends father who was a BU alum, as soon as he hit the boards I looked at him and said, "man people get really hurt like that" little did I know....
I play real hockey...on the ICE, with a white helmet!

I heard that the reason he was ok was because the trainer did an awesome job to stop the bleeding...

That pic is really bad but the one I remember was the Bryan Berard injury when he had his eye almosty taken out by a stick of Marian Hossa.

Back in the early 90's, don't recall the year, we were playing Boston, and I think Audette (I'm probably wrong) got smashed in the face with the puck. He went down on the ice face first, and covered his face. About 10 seconds later, this pool of blood began to spread from where his head was. You could hear the people screaming in Boston garden, especially the girls and women. That's the worst one I've seen live. The worst one of all time is the picture above.

LaFontaine's broken jaw was pretty bad. I don't remember exactly, but I think there was a lot of blood. Poor Patty!
But it doesn't seem as serious as Clint's was. I cannot believe that amount of blood. I'm sure the quick work of the trainers kept him alive; bleeding from your neck is not good!

I got cut for 5 stitches over my right eye. A half inch south and my eye was a goner. I put the half shield back on.
