    Chad Lavalais

i have watched 6 LSU games this season, and this guy is the one that catches my eye every single game. he makes more plays than any DT that I think I have ever watched. He seems to be in the backfield on every play.

Against Auburn, i watched him run a WR down in the flat. This kid can move. he looks like a man among boys out there. and it is not like LSU plays soft teams. they are in a tough damn division.

can anyone give me the scoop on him, like where he is projected to be drafted, weaknesses i am missing.. i would love to have this guy on our team... i really dont remember seeing his name mentioned as a first rounder though, which is crazy to me. i have watched at least 4 miami games this season as well, and he looks a hell of alot better than wolfolk, the DT from the canes.

    so whats the word?

How big is he, could he be converted to a "D" end? ACC

I sure wouldn't mind him if we couldn't get Tommy Harris or Vince Wilfolk if round 1.:)

Heres The same for the guys spaz would like. Wilfolk could be a huge pick up but I think we should stick with getting a DE.

                Tommy Harris:

                Vince Wilfolk:

see what it says about those two?

tommy harris - overhyped underachiever.. was touted as a stud and never really exceeded that

wilfork - never started a whole season.. not that proven..

i would honestly rather have CL, because he is a four year starter, that has never had a serious injury, always made plays, and just flat out produces against every level of team in the college ranks.. and the SEC is a tough division...

imho.. i have not seen anyone that has made more plays consistently.

Wouldn't mind wilfolk ant either. In the buffalo D they rotate DL anyway.

Couch Scout says he runs about a 5 flat 40. Very good for a DT. Demarco McNeil and Marcus Tubbs are a couple more in that group after Wilfork and Harris. It seems like a pretty deep position in the draft.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

tiger, have you ever watched him play? you remember that play in the first game where sam adams got his sack on brady.. it was like, set, hike, sack.. about as fast as you read that.. .. chad seems to do that on about 50% of the plays he lines up for.

Hey I was just going over quite a few draft sites and they all had Wilfolk or Harris as their top Dt's so I was jst basing it on that. As far as Lavalais I wouldn't mind him like I said only thing is they say he plays a finesses type of DT don't know how that really will hinder him in the NFL if at all.

they use that term pretty loosely imho.. he is strong and can bull people, but because he is so quick, he gets around them fast. i think he gets that tag because of his speed.. but just check him out in bowl season.. you will see what i mean. i think he will end up being great... a john randle type...
