The resurgent Green Bay Packers defense likely will have to make do without perhaps its two best players Thursday at Detroit.
Head coach Mike Sherman said Monday that Pro Bowl safety Darren Sharper and rookie linebacker Nick Barnett are questionable for the Thanksgiving Day game.
Sharper sustained what Sherman said was a chest contusion during the 20-10 victory over San Francisco on Sunday.
The injury, originally believed to be bruised ribs, occurred as Sharper fell hard to the ground after breaking up a pass thrown to tight end Aaron Walker midway through the third quarter. Sharper was immediately taken to the locker room for X-rays and didn't return to the game.
