From BillsDaily...

Newman To Pass Rush More: Coach Williams said today the team will try to get Keith Newman more snaps as a pass rushing end on obvious passing downs. He will rotate with Chidi Ahanotu and at times Ahanotu will move inside. Newman remains at linebacker on first and second down situations.

:10:

...but when I was at the Player's Tunnel last Sunday before the game and Newman walked past my 12-year old without signing autographs, I yelled out to him that he should blitz when he wants to and that he did NOT have to wait for Gray to call it.

:fabulous:

Is my ego healthy or what?

:bduff:

In any event, I think this is great news. What do you think? Discuss.

It's hard to rush from the bench. They pull him most of the time when they go nickle.

That's not what the people sitting next to you said you yelled. They said it was unprintable!

Why move Newman to the line as a rushing DE, and then move Chidi inside? To me it would mae more sense to leave Chidi at DE and just plain rush Newman from the LB posistion, he wont have to deal with a 250-350 pound OT that way.

We can take out Edwards, who isn't a pass rusher, and still have the nickle or dime in.....

Chidi is turning out to be much more than the journeyman I'd feared.

I agree, I think CHidi is doing quite well. Plus I love his hairdo. :punk:

Chidi has definitely been better than advertised so far.
