INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts quarterback Peyton Manning felt a twinge in his right elbow during practice Wednesday and was scheduled for an MRI exam.

Manning limited his workout to protect his throwing arm, but coach Tony Dungy said he did not believe Manning would miss Sunday's game against New England.

"He felt a twinge in there during our walkthrough this morning, so we took a lot of the work off of him," Dungy said.

Manning was unavailable after practice. Dungy said Manning was to have the MRI later Wednesday, but it was not clear when there would be word of the results.

With Manning limited, Brock Huard -- the only other quarterback on the Colts roster -- worked with the first team.

Manning, having the best season of his six-year NFL career and a leading contender for the MVP award, has never missed a start.

He's on pace for a career-high in yards passing, a career-low in interceptions and his 3,105 yards and 67.4 percent completion percentage lead the NFL.
