why the hell was Fletcher lined up on Toomer?

The D had an incredible game except for that 1 big play. Why was Fletcher covering a WR anyway? No linebacker in the NFL can stay with a receiver down the field, and Fletcher (while he's had a great season tackling) has suspect pass defense.

I shouldn't be complaining abouut a win, but I hate to see an otherwise perfect afternoon spoiled by some bizarre defensive scheme on one play. Did they let KG call the defensive plays that series?

he was covering the middle zone..saw the ball go up and just stayed in pursuit.

Giants got lucky with their playcall on that play. If the slot was running anything but a post it would have been covered, or at least wouldn't have gone for a big play.
