    Who was the moron

Who was the color commentary guy yesterday? I missed his name- sounded like Boomer Esiason, but the best I got was he was a former 49er (not Randy Cross)

    Talk about a buffoon.

On Gregg Williams- "Look what he's done- the defense is vastly imoroved from last year- this guy deserves one more season IMO"

On Fassil- (graphic up on playoff appearances and SB apperances of top coaches in league) "Look at this - 3 playoff years, one Super Bowl- on par with Shanahan, Billick, Vermiel- Fassil deserves one more season as coach of the Giants"

I think Mia Hamm has more football knowledge than this guy.

I have the raw feed, you didn't hear him complete the sentence when they cut to commercial.

Something about "My cheque from GW & Fossil was slipped under my hotel room door this morning..."

I didn't see any of the game yesterday, but I saw a little of the pregame show with Deion, Dan and Boomer. Did you guys hear Boomer go off on Lawrence Taylor? He was pissed about the interview LT did for 60 Minutes. Did anyone watch the entire interview last night? The little bit that I did hear, it sounded interesting. I had no idea that kind of stuff went on behind the scenes.

Yeah, Brent Jones. At one point, they cut to a close-up of Dumber (KG), and he goes, "Gilbride has called an excellent game today!"

To quote LOG, 'more excellent is better.' ******.

The other thing was they kept drooling all over the Giants. They kept blaming the Giants missing tackles and saying that it was the reason why Henry and the Bills offense was running all over them. Then when Collins completed that 77 yard touchdown, the one announcer sounded like he was going to have a heart attack. The worst thing is...one of them admitted that they were a season ticket holder and then for some DUMB ASS reason, they decided to show a highlight from Super Bowl XXV. Why the hell do you gotta bring that up? Many people would have missed that kick!

I saw the 60 minutes interview with Lawrence Taylor and have to say it made me totally sick. He admitted he was on drugs most of his playing career and his teammates gave them their pee to help him pass his drug tests. What a great bunch of guys with lots of respect for the game, rules, fans, etc. And obviously for LT himself as they aided him in trying to kill himself and those around him by enabling him. That scum was driving on the same streets many of us and our kids and family members do and screwed up and risking lives.
To top it off, they let him into the HOF after he sobered up and went to rehab, BUT he stilled played his days as the self-proclaimed King under the influence and that's what/who got voted in. Sick.

Real role-model. "I spent 1000 a day on escort services and partying. It was one hell of a party". And this is a HOF. He should be forced to live in exile with OJ for 10 years.

That's a little bit of what I heard during the pregame show, Billsbabee. I was shocked to hear how teams would pay hookers to go to the other teams hotel and keep the guys up all night to wear them out. And, how they would send drug dealer over to give the other team free samples! How sick is that?!?!?! What I only heard part of was the team would have a pool on tackles or something like that. What was that about? Dan Marino even commented on the pools in the lockerroom. Do you remember?

Jaded- Yeah, the players would pass a hat and contribute $$ to it aimed at a certain player and knocking them out of the game. They say they only pay out if it's a clean hit. No dirty plays or hits. I'm not so down on that part of it since it is part of the game and it wasn't promoting dirty play and cheap shots.

Actually on the paying the hookers to go to the opposing teams players and wear them down all night, I actually found that kind of funny. Besides, if those players were dumb enough to bite on it they deserved it. Of course the married guys doing isn't cool.

The drugs thing disgusts me. You could be talking about losing a life there. Not funny at all.

I'd be cautious about all the LT stories. Jose Conseco suddenly "spilled the truth" (or so he thinks so) about baseball abuse. Some of it is to deflect criticism of himself (Yeah I was bad- but they were worse) and while I didn't see all of the 60 minute interview - there might be a hidden agenda somewhere- new tell all book maybe?

I didn't see it either, but saw some excerpts from LTs new book in ESPN the magazine. It was ALL about LT and the bad crap LT did, not anyone else - so it was definately not to deflect any criticism of himself.
