Tony McGee wasn't good enough for Bill Parcells and failed to stick with the Cowboys this season, but the Giants are so depleted, which is why yesterday they signed the 32-year old tight end.
McGee takes the roster spot that previously belonged to left guard Wayne Lucier, who was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a strained knee ligament. He becomes the sixth Giants starter to find his way onto the injured list. The others are Will Allen and Will Peterson, Rich Seubert, Shaun Williams and Kenny Holmes.
McGee spent the first game of the season with the Cowboys before being released. His first nine seasons were with the Bengals.
