With the playoffs already a remote possibility, the Bucs will finish the season without wide receiver Joe Jurevicius and cornerback Tim Wansley, who were placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Three players were signed to the active roster: safety Scott Frost, receiver Snoop Minnis and cornerback Ronyell Whitaker. Also, linebacker Vinny Ciurciu was released.
Jurevicius, who tore the medial collateral ligament in his right knee Sept. 14, hoped to return to full strength this season, but the injury did not heal.
Wansley, a six-game starter in place of injured Brian Kelly, pulled a hamstring in Sunday night's 17-10 loss to the Jaguars. The muscle popped during Jimmy Smith's winning 48-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.
