Bucs defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin's name has appeared as a possible replacement for recently fired Nebraska coach Frank Solich, the Omaha World-Herald reported. Kiffin was an assistant at Nebraska from 1966-76 and played for the Cornhuskers from 1959-63.
Other names mentioned as candidates include Washington Redskins coach Steve Spurrier, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Al Saunders and Oregon coach Mike Bellotti.
