McGahee could see playing time Sunday

Bills running back Willis McGahee could make his NFL debut Sunday when Buffalo hosts the New York Jets.

Coach Greg Williams said Friday there is a chance the Bills' first-round pick may make an appearance.

Even if we don't see him this week, I would say that it's a safe bet we will see him before the end of the season! Unreal if in fact this guy is ready to go!

I hope he busts off an 80 yarder!

I wouldn't hold your breath! Percentage wise, how healthy do you think his knee is?

there is no advantage to playing him...IMO, the Bills will not trade Henry unless they get a top 10 pick so just let McGahee rest the knee and let's see him spell Henry next year. No reason to risk further injury.

They say it's 100% I'm sure it is.

The problem is him getting back to game playing shape, being sure of cutting on it, and taking that first hit. It's almost all mental from here on out.

If Wills feels like he's ready, let him play!

Was 90 something during week 6. Has had another month and a half to get stronger. \

I bet his knee is near 100%

BUT his mind near 50%

At least it will give us something to talk about.

Can't be afraid of injuries, If the doctors say he's 100% now, well let him play.

He has just the same chance of hurting that knee again on sunday as he does in the first preseason game next year or the first real game next year.

You only get better by playing.

Last I heard it was around 85%. Willis must have the final say, so if he feels he is ready, let it rip.

I’ve never understood the % thing.

Do they stick some sort of measuring equipment into the knee and take a reading?

These guys are always like, “Well, I’m at 65% so we’ll see how things go”

I’d like to hear them say, “I’m at 71% today, but yesterday I was at 73%, so it’s fluctuating”

It was higher than that in week 6.

That was a month and a half ago.

LOL... They can measure strength (weight machines) but the rest is all conjecture.

But you still have to consider the time frame we are talking about here. The injury occured last January, as you all know, and here is Willis less than a year later ready to go 100%. I am skeptical at best that the knee is 100%.

Alot of people said to sit Vick for the season too, but with a young player like this you do nothing but hurt him from holding him out longer. He needs to get the feel this season, not next. I too hope he busts a big one against NYJ.

Uh... not really- the consensus has been that Vick has been holding himself back longer than usual because of the Falcon's record. If he was healthy enough to be the #2 last week, he should have been the #1.

I think he saw McNabb tail off to start the year and got scared. He should have been back weeks ago.

He would have been #1 last week has he not rolled his ankle the week before in practice. I highly doubt that Micheal Vick is dogging it b.c the Falcons are sucking if that were the case then why even bother returning, just fake the tests and make it seem like its not near healthy yet? Why make a return thats pointless?

Dozerdog

How is it pointless?

More of the "let's lose because of a high draft pick" crap?

He's a young QB who has to learn the NFL- this sets him back next year if he just tanks it this year- unlike a Running back that has a short career and can be saved the wear and tear, being a QB takes a learning curve. I guess the Falcons want him to learn on the job when a playoff spot is on the line, instead of now.

Get his candy ass out there.

The only way he could be near full strength is if he's some type of workout beast, overtime in the gym is the only way he'd rehab to 100% that fast. I mean freak of nature, but they say he is a gym rat, It'll be interesting to see if he plays. I dought this week but it's time to get the bidding started on him or Henry. Is Henry headed for another 1400 yd season? ACC
