I didn't waste my time watching this whole series (and I know you didn't either Eb, AWM, or you other TV snobs), but I did catch most of the finale, flipping back and forth from MNF.
In the finals for the hot blonde cheerleader were a 27 year old student/waiter loser who was very handsome, and a 27 year old mongoloid who looked like he'd fit right in at a Zone tailgate party. The mongoloid lived in a pimpin NYC apartment and was part owner of a bar. Looked like he was doing OK for himself.
As much as they tried to lead us on that the blonde would pick our mongoloid hero (boy did that guy have a high forehead, or what??), of course she picked the handsome guy with no future. The mongoloid loser was happy for them and wished them well. No crying in the bus scene, like the Bachelor losers. Nice touch, btrw to have the winner jetted off with the girl to a island resort, and the loser in a bus to Palookaville.
Lessons learned?

I heard she was already basically engaged before doing this, and was just doing it for the experience.

The mongoloid guy had giant horse teeth. You knew he wasn't getting any.

I watched it. If that chick were 10 years older she would have gone for the money. But being 25, she's still looking for looks.
I found it amazing. The guy wasn't terrible looking. He had a nice penthouse in NYC, owned his own company and business! The other guy lives with his folks, is 26 years old and is still grinding through college and works as a waiter.
Ah well.
Did you see the guys for the next one. Even bigger nerds and they bring in 6 built guys. The second chick will do the same thing and ditch the nerds. But from what they show, she hooks up with almost all of them.
Decent show.

I missed most of the series, but I caught a few of the last episodes, including last night's. Jason was the hot guy. As soon as he got there, I liked him! He was definitely a :10: :hubba: But, I really liked Adam (the mongoloid). Melana, the hot cheerleader liked Adam too. And personally, I would've picked Adam. I think she made a mistake. Adam was settled and established. Jason was a waiter, living at home and going to school. I can't imagine what he has to offer her at this point. Except maybe sex and obviously his looks and kick ass body! I still would've picked Adam.
BTW, half those "average" Joe's were actors. It was another television set up.

Like I said, she's 25 and wants the hottie, if she were 35, she'd have jumped all over the money. NO DOUBT!

But then again, by the time she's 35, Adam's going to have 15 Mil, have his teeth fixed and be banging some Model. Good move by him.

I can't take ANY of Madden. The only MNF games I have watched this year was that first one on Thursday and the Steeler game (can't remember who they played). I just can't tolerate Madden anymore.

Anyone notice how she was all cuddly right after she found out he had money. :snicker:
The reason she didn't pick him is that he had a mental breakdown on their date.

The whole show is garbage, other than the fact that the chick is pretty good to look at.
I never understood these dating reality shows. These people meet and date on the show, and within a short few days or weeks they're supposed to get married??? It's so sad that our society is taking marriage so damn lightly. Couples are supposed to date for a much longer time than that before they can decide whether they really want to commit to marriage. The first few weeks/months are nothing but lust and passion. When that novelty wears off they'll see if they still want to marry that person. Otherwise the marriage is set to be a failure from the start.

Just like everything else today...some people view marriage as a throw-away...I don't get it either. TV was never anything that helped society but, imo, these shows only reinforce how crappy society thinks right now. I just do not under the psyche of the person watching. JMO.

I know. I found my ex at 22, started dating him at 23 and it lasted until I was 28. After that I gave up. He was settled, or so I thought, and extremely intelligent, which usually turns my head more than looks. And, he was 7 years older than me. I have always preferred older, intelligent men as opposed to younger hotties.

There are a lot of variables to consider here...
high maintenance...
conversation...
cooking...
companionship...
sex (quality and quantity)...(as opposition to none)...
lots to debate there...

*****POLITICALLY INCORRECT STATEMENT FORTHCOMING***
Almost every single women I have ever dated or known was high maintenance in some aspect of their life. Most people are with regard to something. It's just human nature. My only thing is that if you are going to be HM about something, let it be sex...we can handle addressing that issue every night.

I fully admit I'm high maintenance in some areas, Eb. I know I am. I like expensive jewelry. But, as for food, I'm good to go with a happy meal and a coke! :) I don't really drink, so I don't have a taste for fine wine. I don't need to go to plays or out to dinner often. I'm very happy with a movie from Block Buster and take out Chinese food. I'd rather snuggle up on the couch in front of a fire than get dressed up for a night on the town. I don't really care what kind of car a guy drives, as long as it's nice looking (no rust or dents) and it's clean. I think I'm easy enough to please.

I think Melana made the right decision. It was tough though because she could have been regarded as shallow or a gold digger with whatever decision she made..
I liked Jason.. he was a good guy.. although I did feel bad for Adam after he lost.. that sucks and all but that's the way it goes sometimes..
Melana was attracted to Jason.. that's important and that's what it comes down to in the end.. who cares that he's better off and whatever.. if you're going to be romantically involved with someone you have to be attracted to them otherwise it's just a friendship. As cool a guy Adam was... he'd never be anything more than a friend..

I think that a persons looks are directly preportional to how much maintanance they will require.
I've dated around the spectrum, from extremely attractive women to the not so attractive women.
In my experience, the more attractive the woman, the higher the maintenance. and vice versa. So, in all essence, you should find someone who is Mildly attractive (physically) but not anyone who will stop traffic, and you will be happy.
It's wierd, but allot of times it's true. There are exceptions, but not too many.

In my experiences, I've found a direct correlation between good looking guys and intelligence. The good looking guys tended to be stupid and the average or less than average looking guys tended to be more intelligent. I guess the average guys were home on date night studying and the hot guys were out on dates. lol Personally I’d rather date someone who has a brain in his head than a 6 pack stomach! :)

In fact the last 3 hot ladies I went out with were a couple fries short of a happy meal :coocoo: The best girlfriend I ever had wasn't the most physically attractive but she was cute, and she treated me like gold too. It didn't help that he lived with the pot supplier on campus. There was always a cloud coming out of their room and I think that poor kid lost his remaining brain cells living there. lol
