    After the most recent thread by JD about Malarchuk's injury so long ago, it was weird to see this article on TSN.ca earlier:

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo Sabres goaltender Mika Noronen suffered a cut to his neck during practice on Monday and will miss the team's game Wednesday against Detroit.

                  This was the "mysterious injury" that I said would happen that will allow him to be sent down to the minors without clearing waivers.

                    I hope Mika is okay.. and back to normal in no time!

                    I'm just glad it isn't as bad as it could have been. He's pretty lucky..

                        in the AHL i think MUNRO (ECHL->AHL) Was brought up to tryout for The AHL (NORFOLK ADMIRALS) and had his throat sliced in prace by a stick.
