    Only #2??

    2. Buffalo, NY

The city of Buffalo only has two major sports franchises, the Bills in the NFL, and the Sabres in the NHL. Despite that fact, they come in as the 2nd most tortured city in pro sports. The Bills were one of the best teams in all of football from 1990-1998, yet came away with nothing. As a matter of fact, they came away with a record that will likely never be touched, when they lost four consecutive Super Bowls in 1991, ’92, ’93, and ’94. The Sabres, who have been in existence for over 30 years, have never won a Stanley Cup, and have only made two appearances in the Finals. They lost in 1975, and then in cruel fashion in 1999, when they were ousted by the Dallas Stars on a goal that replays later showed should not even have counted.

I guess Denver can be cocky about this now that their football team won a bowl 5 yrs ago after 4 losses as well.

Someone said "What's he gonna turn out like?" Ha!

I would have thought it would have been Los Angeles. They can't keep a football team. There is constant talk about breaking up the Lakers. And the hockey team has sucked since Gretsky left even though yearly they bring in high priced talent. And to top it off, to go to any of these games with a family of 4 will cost you over $400.

They haven't consistently shown they wanted to keep one.

Well it is kind of hard when ownership thinks everthing in Cali should be at least $100. The $7.50 hotdogs and $5.00 beers are outrageous enough that no one will come to a game if the team isn't kicking arse.

The Bills' 4 consecutive SB appearances are hailed by those who know something about sports as a one of the great achievements of all time, not as a negative.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

At least the Lakers have won several championships- I think that's what saved them.
