Off-the-field woes may hurt Randy Moss' endorsement appeal


Think embattled Minnesota Vikings star Randy Moss is destined to be on a Wheaties box?

After suppressing his laughter, sports business analyst Bob Williams said if that ever happened, he not only would eat the cereal, "I'll eat the box."

Traditional companies, such as Golden Valley-based Wheaties maker General Mills Inc., tend to be skittish about offering endorsement deals to athletes with a checkered history of off-the-field behavior.
