I want a high draft pick, GW and KG gone, and a new QB.

It's not gonna happen if we win the next two games.

And I wouldn't mind NE finishing the year 13-1 Sandwiched between 2 Ass Whoopings!

I don't really care. If TD drafts like he did last year, it won't matter.

No...I definately want to finish 2-0....8-8 will still get Dumb and Dumber fired, but atleast we'll salvage a 4-2 divisional record

In honesty, I won't be rooting against us, but it's not going to ruin my day if we lose either or both games.

makes no sense. so were over-emotional and impractical to want to beat the Dolphins and Patriots? and i'd rather be 8-8 than 6-10 w/ a slightly better draft pick

Not me. It's playoffs or nothing for me.

I prefer that the Bills be hot or cold. For if they are lukewarm, I shall spew them out of my mouth.

I have no feelings about that. I honestly wouldn't care. Once the playoffs are out of reach, I don't care if we win or lose usually.

But this year, so much rides on us losing.

There is such a thing called PRIDE. So we cant make the playoffs...boohoo...but neither will Miami. And when the season ends do you want to be able to say "We were better than Miami"? "And we whooped the Patsies twice"? "And our team gave it their all the whole way to the bitter end and didnt quit."

I sure do!

to lose to the fins 1 game one thing, getting swept by them in a season is sacrilegious for a bills fan especially if beating them would help getting the fins knocked out of the playoffs.

I really don't want to see the Bills lose, especially against Miami. Geez, some of you people make me wonder. Miami is the Bills biggest and most hated opponent. Regardless of what they do the entire season, don't you like to see them sweep the Dolphins?

I want to win the last two. We lost close ones to two REAL contenders. That should be enough to show TD that, if not for GW's and KG's ineptitude, we'd still be in the hunt. If we have to place our hopes on a higher draft pick, this franchise is A LOT of trouble. I don't buy that for a second. Sure, we can upgrade in spots. However, with proper leadership and coaching skill, this year's sow's ear could EASILY be next year's silk purse.

If Miami loses tonight, then the Bills could indeed knock them out next week (even if Denver also loses).

Of course, as you mentioned, if it goes the other way it would be just unspeakably awful. So many Bills fans took such desperate consolation in last year's season sweep of the Fins, that to have it go the other way this year...

Oh, I can't even imagine it. The horror. The horror...

I posted this about 3 weeks ago. I want the Bills to lose and get as high of a draft pick as they can. ESPN is reporting that the search is on for a Head Coach, so that is probably true since Pasquareli is pretty good friends with Donahoe. Yeah, it would be nice to beat the Phins, but what helps us more...a win or a loss? I'm thinking that a loss is a lot more beneficially to the team than a win.

Losses are NEVER good, Hawk. What good is a high draft pick if he can't produce right away? I hear a ton of *****ing that we wasted a first round pick on McGahee, but, then again, only a handful of top picks are ever really productive in their rookie season. A high pick is no panacea. If we we rebuilding from ground up, a high pick might be more desirable. We're NOT rebuilding from ground up, so the draft shouldn't be where we pin our hopes for the future at the moment. Losing for the sake of losing, or for getting a better pick doesn't instill a winning attitude in younger players, either. Once you buy into "losing for the sake of building for the future" all you've done is bought a loser's attitude.

Dozerdog
12-15-2003, 04:43 PM
I've mentioned this a lot-

Losing for the sake of losing just makes your team a bunch of losers. I don't want to be the Bengals or the Cardinals.

Yesterday's game is a perfect example. It would be nice to learn how to win, against a very good team, on the road- with something big at stake (playoff berth or a super bowl berth)

But, as usual, we leaned how to lose a game instead of learn how to win a game. Ask the Patriots how they learned how to win all those close nail biters this season.

It's a stupid idea for that as well. Injuries, total busts like Ryan Leaf and Tony Mandarich. The prospect of paying someone who has their kind of performances top money scares me.

I'd give up one draft spot to beat Miami, especially if that's the loss that denies them the playoffs. As far as NE is concerned, they've already clinched the AFC East title. There's not as much fun value in denying them a home game, so I don't care as much about that one.

NE has already clinched a home playoff game. There is still competition for the top seed, but the worst seeding NE can get is #3, which guarantees at least one home game.
