The Buffalo News is reporting that NFL head coaches who could become available (if they get fired) and who may be viewed as attractive to the Bills are the Dolphins' Dave Wannstedt and Chicago's Dick Jauron.

my first reaction is that there's got to be someone out there other than these two Chicago rejects.

Then I come to my senses and realize that it can't be any worse than what we have now. Quite the paradox- keep our lousy coach or take a chance on someone else who could potentially be just as lousy?

The only good thing about getting Wanny is that he knows the Dolphins inside out, and is also familiar with the rest of the division. But I still don't see why we'd fire our underachieving coach to hire one who's equally (if not more) underachieving.

Their are lots of people speculating on a lot of possible head coaches for the Bills. Things will be much more clear in a couple weeks. Wannstedt is far from a hypothetical frontrunner IMHO.

What I really love is Denver taking things into their own hands and doing what Buffalo couldn't today, knocking Miami out of the playoffs. Of course, I would rather Buffalo have done it themselves, but I'll live.
