Run, Travis. Run.

Short term, I don't mind that. I'd have to see a Les Steckel offence in action for a while before I buy into the idea long term. I think he has a reputation for being . . . well . . . unimaginitive. I know, a little dull running seems like a good idea right now, but if defences adjust and we can't counter, we would probably get tired of it real quickly.

I agree...he should have took over after the bi-week.

I'm on board with this too. He should be OC next season, but chances are if we hire a HC from outside he'll want to bring in his own peeps.

I had the opportunity to see Les as OC here in Tampa. He did set franchise records for offensive production for the Bucs (not that that was difficult, but he did improve the offense with less talent then what we have now) I say give Les a shot, I am not sure of his current status but he is/was a LtCol in the USMC reserves so I am sure discipline is in his nature

Not to mention Steckel was the OC for that Titans team that made it to the Super Bowl a few years back.

Those teams were so boring. Please bring in a better OC than Steckel. Those teams won strictly with defense. Do you remember how bad the Titans offense was against us in that playoff game?

If they win, bore me to death, please!

I would rather have boring victories than flashy losses

I'll wait until we get a head coach first.

Our next OC had better be a long-term solution. Based on comments that Steckel made to the press when he was hired, I'm not sure he wants to be in the league for much longer. I can see him leaving after 2 or 3 years. If he grooms a successor, great, but we've had enough changes of direction in the last 3 years IMO.

We're hopefully coming up on our 3rd OC and will be using our 2nd defense in 4 years next year. this is assuming the D is left alone strategy-wise this offseason (this year's D is much different than last years).
