So whats it gonna take to land this guy in Buffalo?

According nflpa.org Howard is under contract next year for $680k. If we were to sign an UFA DE of his caliber it cost us at least $4 mil per season with at least a $4 mil signing bonus and the only two guys I see commmadning that money this offseason are Jevon Kearse and possibly Restricted Free Agent Adewale Ogunleye of the Dolphins. Bert Berry of the Broncos might command some attention due to a strong 2003 season. Also, looking at the draft there doesn't appear to be any sure fire 1st Round impact DEs so the Bills might just have to pin their hopes on Ryan Denney/Chris Kelsay for another season or sign a lesser named DE like James Hall could be had a decent price to start at LDE and show improvement on his production of about 5 sacks a season.
