Mike Vanderjagt set an NFL record with his 41st consecutive field goal Sunday, a 43-yarder as time expired to send the Colts to a 20-17 win over the Houston Texas and give them the AFC South title.
Earlier, Vanderjagt had connected on a 39-yarder early in the second quarter to tie the mark.
The record dates back to last season for Vanderjagt, who is 37-for-37 this year. He moves ahead of Gary Anderson, who made 40 straight from 1997-98 with San Francisco and Minnesota.
The winning kick also gave Vanderjagt the single-season franchise record for field goals made. Cary Blanchard made 36 in 1996.
