NO it is not that far fetched but if it happens I lose all faith in Tom Donahoe. I will be so pissed that will ruin the rest of the offseason for me!

Personally I'd love Green or Coughlin...

I think Coughlin is destined for the Giants, which leaves Green... Question is, will Green accept a post where he is only HC... and will Ralph want to pay him 4 or 5 mil a year?

Probably no to both, that leaves someone like... Kirk Ferentz of Iowa, who is where my money is on.

Jim Haslett

The best move from a PR standpoint, would be Jim Haslett. There are a lot of POed people out there, that the Bills cannot afford to lose as paying customers. There's also the Pittsburgh connection, and JH doesn't sem to have GM aspirations.

I think it will be Haslett. Its a good fit. Possibly the best fit for the Buffalo Bills.

I think Hasslet, because he's TD's buddy.

I wasn't being flip.

Dick Jauron is an excellent coach. I picked him because he has previous HC experience, which Donohoe said he will look for, and isn't looking for total control.

I think Denny Green wants to be close to the west coast, so he ends up in Oakland or Arizona.

I think Coughlin ends up with the Giants, although they may go for Crennel or Weis.

I think very highly of Jauron as a coach, he got a raw deal in Chicago. If he doesn't get another HC job, which I think he will, I would be very pleased if he were a DC replacing Crennel.

Fassell

I think TD will shy away from Ferrentz because he has not been an NFL head coach. I think GW may have made him more cautious about that sort of thing. I also think Ferrentz will stay at Iowa until his sone, who is on the team graduates. I also think TD will look for an offensive guy. That eliminates Lovie Smith, Romeo Crennel, Dick Jauron among others. I think Coughlin will go to the Giants or Saints. I think he's lobbying the Saints brass pretty hard. Al Saunders is a possibility but I haven't seen his name that much among guys who will be serious candidates.

I think you're exactly right. We have LeBeau on board as the unofficial defensive head coach. We need an offensive mind as the official HC. But I'm not sold on Fassel as the offensive guy though. His Giants offense has never been potent. The year they went to the SB was because of their defense.

Marv Levy. I don't care how old he is.

Okay

Green

Agreed id take Levy even if he was 90.

Guess: Likely Reeves or Fassel. I wouldnt mind Reeves I hope to god he doesnt take fassell.

Pray: Reeves, Coughlin, Green or even Weis. Those NE guys have done a great job.

LeBeau. There had to be some reason TD brought him in as Assistant HC to begin with. It also was a factor in bringing in Tim Krumrie, if I remember correctly. LeBeau is familiar with the players and the Bills' administration, has a support staff here that he didn't have in Cincy, and wouldn't necessarily have to make wholesale changes on his staff. I could change my mind if he brought in another Mouse Davis deciple for OC, though!

He said he has to do a better job this time around.

First off spell the mans name right, its Fassel not Fassil. I also agree that he will be the next coach for our team. Fassel has never been given the personnell to make his offense potent. When you have a QB like Collins, 2 RB's Dayne and Barber and 2 good WR's in Toomer and Hilliard how can you expect somebody to have a potent offense.
My shortlist would be:
1. Fassel
2. McGinnis
3. Smith
4. Ferentz
5. Saban

McGinnis?! Please tell me what he has done as a head coach that is worth anything.

I like Fassel a lot actually. His teams do start slowly, but finish very well. He made it to the playoffs frequently. Taking a very marginal Giants team to the Super Bowl is still one of the finer coaching jobs in recent memory. There was no discernable talent in NY really at all during Fassel's tenure.

Haslett, like GW, is the anti-Fassel. Defensive minded, and whose teams start faster than they finish. The Saints under Haslett have been the Miami Dolphins of the NFC every year except for this one (and they still managed to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars this year) I just am not interested in him.

i dont think td is considering any of the current coaching staff otherwise he would have fired gw earlier and given one of them a "free tryout". i view his failure to fire gw earlier as a tacit admission that none are in serious contention.

besides, lebaeu is like buddy ryan-- good as a dc but not good as a hc.

I don't know why people seem fixated on TD bringing in an offensive guy.

Look at his history- Steelers- a Defensive coach and predominatly defensive talent.

First crack here- Defensive coach.

That being said- I'll say Kirk Ferentz...:D

i think td looks too much for value. hence, i dont think we will get fassel as he was making 2.7 million in ny. same is true with denny green and coughlin. i expect he will look at malarky, lovie smith, saban and romeo with the ultimate winner being.......

wys. wys will be the first qb/head coach ever. i bet his first move will be to bring in a qb coach since we have not had one.

He always gets the most out of his players, and his players always play for him. Case and point is against the Vikings. Hes a real players coach and an offensive guy if my memory serves me correctly.

McGinnes is a defensive guy. He coached LB's under Ditka here.

Jauron is a heckuva nice guy, but he can coach your team, thanks.

I like Charlie Weis. If you are gonna have manboobs, at least have the edgy haircut and scare people like a man, not a mealy mouth hillbilly.

My money is on Fassel because TD wants to make us suffer for making fun of Gdub. Plus, Fassel is used to being made fun of for idiotic playcalling. I've gotten a rundown constantly since I'm a Mike & The Maddog fan.

Obviously, I hope that we get Kirk Ferentz.

I think Weiss or Lovie could be good head coaches also. Coughlin wouldn't kill us, although some of these current Bills players would get ridden out of town pretty quick.
