I'll be surprised if he does become our coach. I thought he was a ringer for the Giants???

WFAN in New York also mentioned Crennel & Weis as Giant HC candidates. Both worked for the Giants.

Coughlin's negatives came out in his interview- and he did turn the G-men down once

I think Gilbride got the Charger job

I doubt Coughlin would keep an OC who had thew worst Bills point total in the 16 game -per- season era

I f he was high on the guy- why didn't he bring him back to the Jags?

I hope TD fires Gilbride and Ruel before the new coach has a chance to keep him.

Coughlin is the guy you need. IMO he would let Gilbride go. I think he would want to do it himself.

All I know is that we need an established offensive mastermind who's consistently fielded teams with good O and tell him to keep his mits off the D - if it's not broken, don't try to fix it.

Gilbride was very successful under Coughlin. That's how he got the head coaching job with the Chargers.

Gilbride was supposed to be a "mastermind" too. I just want a guy who is competent, consistent, and not so full of himself and his "genius" that he can think on his feet and adjust as the situation dictates.

Well I agree for the most part about the D, except for the soft corner coverage we always play. I can't tolerate another year of watching corners lining up ten yards off the line, and linebackers letting everything underneath come open. Everything is too soft.

I think Coughlin is the right choice and, given his reputation, if he were to keep Gilbride (which I seriously doubt), he certainly wouldn't give him free reign to ruin our offense as GW did.
